Today's message during the 9 AM Service is "Get a Word!"

Looking back on what happened this year, I realized I received so much from the Lord. And I just want to share 20 things I got from the Lord this year.

"COME!" He said. - Matthew 14:29

The ocean is scary and overwhelming but be a wet water-walker than a dry boat-rider. God's next big thing is out there, out of your comfort zone.

"SEEK first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." - Matthew 6:33

Place God and His righteousness on top of all your priorities and you will have enough. You will be in contentment. Other things will be added to you as a bonus.

"BUILD your house on the Rock." - Matthew 7:24-27

Even when you go through the lowest of lows, you will always overcome because Jesus is your cornerstone. Be firmly founded in His Word and you will remain unshakeable and immovable.

"ABIDE in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me." - John 15:4

The only way to increase or bear more fruit is to cling to God at all times. He alone can make you grow and flourish in your season.

"... RUN with endurance the race that is set before us looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12:1-2

Look away from the things that distract you or any weight that keeps you from running effectively the race that God has set for you and fasten your attention to Jesus.

"PURSUE peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:" - Hebrews 12:14

Pursue peace and walk right with men. Pursue holiness and walk right with God.

"SET YOUR MIND on things above, not on things on the earth." - Colossians 3:2

Pause. Meditate on His Word and stay with God. Establish your thoughts on God and you will have perfect peace.

"...not worthy... but by the grace of God, I AM WHAT I AM..." - 1 Corinthians 15:9-10

You may be unworthy or unqualified for the call but God who called you equips, empowers, sustains, and makes you qualified for the call.

"LIFT your eyes now and LOOK from the place where you are." - Genesis 13:14

Recognize God's leading from where you're at. See His hand move and how He will command the blessings and favor to run after you.

"WALK in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us..." - Ephesians 5:2

Imitate Christ, patient, gentle, slow to anger, and quick to forgive. And as you imitate Christ, walk in love, be brotherly affectionate with one another even to the ones who don't love you, hurt you, reject you, abandon you, or betray you.

"And Enoch WALKED [in habitual fellowship] WITH GOD; and he was not, for God took him [home with Him]." - Genesis 5:24

Walk with God habitually. Have a constant consciousness of God's presence in your sitting, walking, listening, and even thinking. God is not an idea. He is a Person who walks around, makes His Presence known, and pays attention.

"CAST YOUR BURDEN on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved." - Psalms 55:22

Cast your burdens, anxieties, worries, hurt, self-anger, guilt, and condemnation, and LEAVE it at the altar. Stop picking up debris and just move on.

"WATCH and PRAY, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak." - Mark 14:38

Be intentional in prayer. Don't waste your word. Look around and pray.

"TRUST in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;" - Proverbs 3:5

Some doors He will close and some He will open. The doors He opens may be too much for you but trust the Lord. He will work out all things for you.

"REST in the Lord, and WAIT patiently for Him;" - Psalms 37:7

To wait patiently means to labor in pain with refined focus. Where is your focus? Don't be distracted by promises but focus on the process and enjoy the journey with the Lord.

"DO NOT REMEMBER the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing," - Isaiah 43:18-19

Let go of the past. Surrender them to the Lord and don't miss out on the new things God is making.

"BLESSED are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:3

Oh, yes! The kingdom of heaven belongs to you and me. There is an open invitation to God's throne room. We are called in and so we are free to enter.

"DELIGHT yourself also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart." - Psalms 37:4

Want what God wants for you.

"CONSECRATE yourselves, therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God." - Leviticus 20:7

You are consecrated for God Himself. You are set apart for Him. Therefore, discipline yourself. Change the meditation of your mind and the words of your mouth. Put away the things that defile you.
