Liza Soberano and Kathryn Newton are the cutest besties!
The "Lisa Frankenstein" co-stars spent the day at Universal Studios Hollywood in celebration of Kathryn's 27th birthday.
Liza and Kathryn explored the theme park, posed in front of the Frankenstein Parking, and wore their Super Mario hats.
"Spent the whole day yesterday with this one. Happy birthday @kathrynnewton," Liza said in her caption.
"BTW, @lisafrankensteinfilm is out today so please make the birthday girl happy and watch our movie," she added.
Kathryn also made sure to show her appreciation for Liza in the comments section.
"Couldn't love you more! So grateful for our friendship," she said.
"Lisa Frankenstein" premiered in Philippine cinemas on February 7.
It is inspired by the gothic novel "Frankenstein" by English writer Mary Shelley. The movie follows Lisa (played by Kathryn), a misunderstood teenager, and her love interest who happens to be a handsome corpse (played by Cole Sprouse).
Liza plays Taffy, the popular yet kind girl who is also Lisa's stepsister.
The film is Liza's Hollywood debut and she looked like a true star at the premiere. She said that it is the "kind of movie I've always wanted to do."
Liza's performance has been receiving rave reviews from fans and critics alike. American filmmaker Jo Russo and Liza's boyfriend Enrique Gil are also among those who are impressed.
Kathryn commended Liza's acting skills and said that "she's always perfect."
