Benda Prize from the Association for Asian Studies for Urban Ecologies on the Edge: Making Manila's Resource Frontier, which was published in 2022 by the University of California Press. Michael Cullinane, Associate Director of the Center for Southeast Asian Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has won the 2023 John C. Kaw Prize from the National Book Development Board of the Philippines for The Chinese Mestizos of Cebu City 1750-1900, which was published in 2022 by the University of San Carlos Press.
