Yesterday my dear friend finally got hitched. It was a beautiful ceremony to celebrate with. Gathered around were families, relatives and friends from both sides. Witnessing how happy my friend makes us even happier too. Finally God has sent the one truly for him after all the past season he had to go through. Amazing God-authored story I will be glad to cherish always.
During the homily, the priest shared two main points about how to take good care of marriage. First, each (husband and wife) should give 100% of themselves. Not 50-50 but a full percentage of commitment and dedication to keep and choose each other everyday.
Second, one essence of marriage is not just love but salvation. Bringing each other for salvation towards Jesus. The priest sighted the wedding in Cana where Jesus turned water into wine. There is something in the ordinary that God will make it special. From the simple water to special wine communed by the guests during the wedding.
Wonderful.
As I listened intently to the homily, it spoke to me then.
Each of us has always something to offer to God. We may tend to give excuses for lacking this and that, but we missed the point. We just give to Him even the most simple and most ordinary we have for He has already been brewing on what specialty will be produced.
There is always something that we can serve and offer to Him. Believe that He makes that even more grand in His time, hands and will.
What could be your water that God will turn into wine?
Have a blessed Sunday!
P.S. Some snaps from yesterday's event.
Love,
A
