A fire outbreak in Barangay Damayang Lagi, Quezon City, on Tuesday morning resulted in injuries to three individuals and triggered a significant response from the Bureau of Fire Protection-National Capital Region (BFP-NCR). The fire, which began just after 10 a.m., led to the deployment of Task Force Alpha by the BFP-NCR at 11:38 a.m. to manage the emergency.
Among the injured, two suffered lacerations on their left foot, and one incurred a hand wound, necessitating immediate medical attention. In a robust firefighting effort, 25 firetrucks were dispatched to the scene to combat the blaze and prevent further casualties or damage.
The fire, which caused a stir in the community and required a large-scale response, was successfully brought under control by 12:22 p.m. and fully extinguished by 1:39 p.m., thanks to the quick and efficient action of the BFP-NCR and supporting firefighting teams.
This incident highlights the ongoing risk of fire in densely populated urban areas and the critical importance of rapid and effective emergency response to protect lives and property.
