Two important dates marked milestones in my life lately.
First is January 29, 2024, the day I married the man I chose to spend the rest of my life with. Until now, almost two months after that day, it hasn't fully sunk in me that I am now a wife though I've been doing wife duties. somehow it feels like serving anyone in my life like my parents, my sister, relatives, and friends. Anyway, remembering that day-it was rainy but the ceremony happened very fast, as in 15 minutes fast. I've been to so many weddings that lasted for a whole day but I am glad mine was stress-free, simple, fast, and cheap. I guess this is what I have always wanted all along.
I have not yet officially used my husband's name because it takes a lot of process being an immigrant but I have gained a new family in this side of the world and it was something wonderful to have. I have not so much to say but am just thankful for where I am now and trying to figure out marriage life each day with humility and deep prayers.
The second date is March 5, 2024 - the day I received an email from Home Office for my visa so I can live here in the UK for 30 months.
Although I've been here since October 2023, my fiance visa was temporary til we got married. Now that they have allowed me to stay longer, I can only say that by God's grace, the best is yet to come. Like what I said, I am still figuring my life here and I just leave everything to God.
