Yael Yuzon, the lead vocalist of Sponge Cola, has ventured to South Korea to film the music video for his new song "Tatlong Buwan," inspired by the popular K-drama "Queen of Tears." Yuzon shared glimpses of his journey through various iconic locations featured in the drama on his Instagram, capturing moments at a scenic hill, a restaurant, and a batting center.
The song "Tatlong Buwan" was penned by Yuzon after being deeply moved by the tenth episode of "Queen of Tears." He described the songwriting process as a necessary cathartic response to the emotional impact of the series. The music video was swiftly shot following his burst of creative inspiration.
"Queen of Tears," currently a top-rated show on Netflix, has captured audiences worldwide, maintaining a position in the Philippine Top 10 TV charts for five weeks and achieving high ratings in 40 other countries. The series stars Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won and narrates the tumultuous relationship of a wealthy couple on the verge of divorce.
Yuzon's new track "Tatlong Buwan" is set to release on April 24 across all music platforms. This is not the first time Yuzon has drawn inspiration from a K-drama; his previous work "Siguro Nga" was influenced by the 2020 series "Start-Up."
Fans of both Sponge Cola and "Queen of Tears" eagerly anticipate the release of "Tatlong Buwan," expecting a heartfelt addition to Yuzon's musical repertoire, inspired by the dramatic depths of K-drama storytelling.
