A Pot with a Story: Diwata's First Pares Pot Finds a New Home

Diwata, the popular internet sensation known for his 24-hour overload pares business, recently sold his first-ever pares pot to Boss Toyo for P3,000. This transaction, which holds significant sentimental value for Diwata, was documented in a vlog on his official YouTube account and also featured on Boss Toyo's Pinoy Pawnstars vlog.

The Sentimental Value of the Pares Pot

Diwata, whose real name is Deo Balbuena, shared the emotional backstory of the pot, explaining that it has been with him since he started his pares cart business in Pasay City in 2020. This pot is not just a cooking vessel but a symbol of his journey and struggles. After his pares cart was confiscated during a clearing operation, the pot was the only item he managed to keep.

"Ito naman kaya ko binibenta, may sentimental value ito sa akin. Simula noong nag-start akong mag-pares ito talaga 'yong kaldero ko," Diwata explained, highlighting the pot's significance in his life.

Negotiation and Sale

In the video, Diwata can be seen handing over the well-used pot, which has a hole but is still repairable, to Boss Toyo. Despite its worn condition, the pot's history and Diwata's personal connection to it made it valuable. After some negotiation, they agreed on the price of P3,000. Before parting with his cherished possession, Diwata signed the pot, adding a personal touch to the transaction.

Diwata's Rise to Fame

Diwata has gained considerable fame for his 24-hour overload pares business located on Diokno Boulevard in Pasay City. His entrepreneurial spirit and unique personality have made him a viral sensation. However, his journey hasn't been without challenges. Diwata first made headlines in 2016 following a scuffle with two friends, which resulted in him sustaining a forehead wound. This incident, where he famously said, "Nagmula sa kalangitan, lumagapak sa kalupaan. Narito na sa inyong harapan ang nag-iisang Diwata na mukhang kawatan," propelled him into the public eye.

The Encounter with Boss Toyo

Boss Toyo, known for his role in Pinoy Pawnstars, saw the value in Diwata's pot beyond its physical condition. The transaction was more than just a sale; it was a passing of history and memories from one person to another. The sentimental value and the story behind the pot made it a unique and cherished item for both parties.

Looking Ahead

Diwata continues to thrive with his pares business, drawing crowds with his flavorful dishes and charismatic personality. This recent sale marks another milestone in his entrepreneurial journey, highlighting the importance of resilience and the value of personal history in business.

Conclusion: A Symbol of Resilience and Entrepreneurship

The sale of Diwata's first pares pot to Boss Toyo is a heartwarming story of perseverance, personal history, and the value of sentimental items. It underscores the journey of a hardworking individual who has turned his struggles into success, making a significant mark in the local culinary scene.
