Published in Transplantology, the research from the University of Colorado highlights profound psychological impacts, including "enhanced social and sexual adaptation" and "spiritual or religious episodes."

Surprising Findings

Six participants noted changes in their sexual preferences. Some even reported memories seemingly transferred from their donors, suggesting deep cognitive and emotional effects from the transplants.

While some changes were positive, like improved social adaptation, others were negative, including depression, anxiety, and sexual dysfunction.
