9 years.
It hasn't been all married bliss but it has all been married bliss nonetheless. I'll take the lows with the highs because together, the ride has been awesome and I can't imagine doing life without Jeff.
For all our grand plans of celebrating our 9 years and successfully surviving them without killing each other, nothing materialised because it was all up in the air anyway.
Wow, we've been together for a long time. We should celebrate.
Yeah, we should.
Maybe have dinner or something?
Yeah, that would be nice.
Yeah, let's do it.
Yeah, let's.
But Jeff got called in to work on the day and didn't finish til late. I had no right to chuck a tantrum because that would've been so juvenile, not to mention impractical especially in this economy.
So we finally got to celebrate it last week. Six days late, but the timing couldn't have been any more perfect: fresh off work, neither of us could be bothered cooking so while we were going to dine out anyway, might as well find a romantic excuse reason to justify the expense.
Which was how we ended up at our favourite, Kinn Thai Restaurant, ordering the usual tom yum soup, crispy pork belly, and grilled lamb cutlet (subject to Jeff's mood).
And, of course, what's the point of going to Fountain Gate if Raven can't go to Mint My Desk for some Sanrio purchase?
