Cassy Legaspi and Michael Sager are making their acting debut together in "Regal Studio Presents: Fishing for Love," directed by Cassy's father, Zoren Legaspi.
In an interview with Aubrey Carampel for "24 Oras" on Wednesday, Cassy shared her initial awkwardness about working with her father as the director. She compared it to her experience on the tennis court where she had to call him "Coach" instead of "Dad."
Michael expressed his nervous excitement, recalling the moment Zoren called for the actors to take their places on set. Zoren reassured viewers that they would enjoy the show, despite the initial stiffness Cassy felt during rehearsals. He encouraged her to loosen up, which led to a more natural performance.
Cassy and Michael have previously collaborated on hosting and dancing projects, but this acting endeavor brings a new dynamic. Michael admitted to feeling slightly nervous despite their close relationship, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining professionalism on set.
Michael will also star in the upcoming series "Shining Inheritance" alongside Kyline Alcantara, Kate Valdez, Paul Salas, and Coney Reyes. The series, originally featuring Lee Seung Gi and Han Hyo Joo, tells the story of a wealthy woman who loses everything after her father's death.
