Filipina singer Angeline Quinto recently revealed in her latest YouTube vlog titled "Life during pregnancy: Diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes," that she has been diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
Quinto explained that her diagnosis is likely linked to her lifestyle and dietary habits. "Nakakalungkot kasi nga mayroon daw akong gestational diabetes," she said. "Siguro raw sa lifestyle, sa pagkain ko."
She acknowledged that her eating habits have been less controlled due to her busy schedule. However, recognizing the potential impact on her baby, she has decided to make necessary lifestyle changes. Quinto has hired a nutritionist and is using a continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) machine to track her sugar levels.
Understanding Gestational Diabetes
According to the Cleveland Clinic, gestational diabetes is a common condition among expectant mothers, occurring when blood sugar levels become too high during pregnancy.
Support and Family
Angeline, who married Nonrev Daquina in April at Quiapo Church, welcomed their first son in 2022 and recently announced they are expecting a baby girl. She expressed her commitment to ensuring her and her baby's health during this pregnancy.
