Arnold Clavio, the esteemed GMA Network broadcast journalist, has completed his therapy following a hemorrhagic stroke he suffered last month.
Clavio shared the milestone on his Instagram account with a video of himself inside a car. "Last day of therapy. Parang kailan lang," he wrote, using the hashtag #roadtorecovery. The video was accompanied by Mike Damaso's song, "Naglalakbay."
The journalist experienced the stroke on June 11 while driving home after playing golf. He felt an unusual sensation on his right side and wisely decided to stop at the nearest hospital. Lab tests revealed slight bleeding in the left part of his brain.
A hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a blood vessel in the brain ruptures or leaks, causing internal bleeding. It can result from a head injury or a weakened artery wall.
Following his diagnosis, Clavio assured the public that he was out of danger. In addition to physical therapy, he also had to undergo rehabilitation. Recently, Clavio updated his followers, sharing that he has regained his strength.
"Sabi nga ni Doc, 'No more worries. The worst is over! You're a lucky man!' Ang kailangang gawin na lang ay mapababa pa ang aking BP at sugar level," he said.
