Jennylyn Mercado's manager, Becky Aguila, has addressed the rumors about the actress's potential network transfer following her absence in the recent GMA Station ID. Aguila reassured fans on Instagram that Jennylyn remains committed to the GMA Network.
Reason for Absence
According to Aguila, Jennylyn's absence was due to her unavailability on the shoot date for the station ID. "Rest assured, GMA extended an invitation to her, which we very much appreciate," Aguila stated.
The station ID, released last Friday, quickly went viral, and viewers were quick to notice Jennylyn's absence.
Addressing Rumors and Controversy
Aguila also defended Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn's husband, who faced backlash after an alleged TikTok comment suggested a potential network transfer for Jennylyn. "It was not him," Aguila clarified. She emphasized that Dennis is known for his humility and respectfulness, and would not make insensitive comments about his former colleagues at ABS-CBN.
"Dennis's account was hacked yesterday as stated in our official statement," Aguila added.
Jennylyn's Recent and Upcoming Projects
Jennylyn recently returned to the spotlight with her project "Love. Die. Repeat," which premiered earlier this year. She had taken a break from showbiz following her marriage to Dennis in 2021 and the birth of their daughter, Dylan, in 2022.
In 2023, Jennylyn excited fans by announcing her new album and sharing a photo from her recording session. She and Dennis are also set to star together in a romantic comedy, "Everything About My Wife," their first movie together in 14 years, which is a Philippine adaptation of an Argentinian film.
