In a memorandum dated July 29, 2024, the UP Office of the Vice President for Administration (OVPA) released the Guidelines on the Release of the Third Tranche of Rice Subsidy for FY 2024.
Under the guidelines,all UP faculty members, REPS, and administrative employees, as well as UP contractual, casual, substitute, and temporary employees who have or are expected to render at least three (3) months of active service as of September 30, 2024 are qualified to the amount of P2,500.
Instead of cash, some employees may be granted a minimum of 47 kgs of rice, packed into two (2) sacks, equivalent to P2,500.
Memorandum No. ACR 24 - 106, through which the guidelines were released, was signed by UP Vice President for Administration Augustus C. Resurreccion by authority of the UP President.
Each constituent university's (CU), as well as the Philippine General Hospital's (PGH), UP System Administration's (UPSA), and UP Tacloban College's (UPTC) Human Resource Development Office (HRDO) will prepare the list of eligible employees. This list will then be endorsed/signed by the Dean, Director, or Head of the Unit.
