MANILA, Philippines – The love story of popular vloggers Viy Cortez and Cong TV has inspired OPM band Nobita to create their latest song, "Gitna." The five-piece band revealed in a press release that their new track was a tribute to the couple's wedding last month, performed as a surprise gift for the newlyweds.
"Their love isn't perfect by all means, but we've witnessed through the years how they've managed to work their differences together and make room for adjustments and compromise to reach this far," Nobita said. "This prompted us to compose a song that perfectly fits the narrative."
"Gitna" showcases Nobita's signature sentimental lyrics paired with swoony instrumentation, continuing their tradition of heartfelt music.
Nobita's Musical Journey
Composed of Jaeson Felismino, Sam Aquino, Mark Quintero, Richmond Bancolita, and Jonathan Agbanlog, Nobita gained widespread acclaim with their song "Ikaw Lang," which became the most streamed OPM song in 2022.
Viy Cortez and Cong TV's Milestones
Viy Cortez and Cong TV got married in June at the L'Annunziata Parish Church in Muntinlupa City. The couple, who got engaged in 2022, welcomed their son Kidlat the same year. Earlier this month, they attended the GMA Gala 2024, a fundraiser for the Kapuso Foundation, where they were seen mingling with other celebrities like Alden Richards, Marian Rivera, and Dingdong Dantes.
