A new documentary focusing on the 44 members of the Special Action Force (SAF) who lost their lives in the 2015 Mamasapano clash is slated to debut on Netflix this September.
Titled "Fallen not Forgotten: The Untold Story of the Gallant SAF 44," the documentary delves into the events of Oplan Exodus, the mission executed by the SAF members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to hunt down and kill Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli bin Abdul, also known as Marwan. The film is directed by Adrian Belic and Sally Jo Bellosillo.
The documentary will also include personal accounts from the 13 SAF survivors, who will share stories of brotherhood, camaraderie, and patriotism during the Mamasapano clash.
In addition to the SAF troops, the film will feature exclusive interviews with Nasir Abbas, the man who trained Marwan, and President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., who was serving as a senator during the time of the incident.
