Typical me.
By the time I post about that time I had my last haircut, I probably need another haircut.
And apparently, WordPress has this AI feature now that edits my writing in real time, a teal line under the word 'probably' with a suggestion to remove it because it's an "unconfident word."
I'm pretty sure I'm confident in saying that I probably need another haircut. I don't know about probably, though. That word needs to sort out its own issues.
"You have very good hair," one patient remarked to me while he was in Stage 2 Recovery and having his cuppa post procedure.
"Oh, thank you," I replied. A little bit flattered, but at the same time taking into consideration the influence of anaesthetics possibly clouding his judgement.
"No, I mean it," he continued. "I've been a hairdresser for a very long time. I know hair."
Only then did I allow myself to feel completely flattered. As he talked about the hair care company he established (I can't remember the name now) and the cruelty-free, paraben-free products that they offer, I couldn't help but feel somewhat pleased that low-maintenance me is actually reaping some great benefits out of doing absolutely nothing with my hair, salon treatments wise.
But, of course, I have to go in for the regular haircuts. At some point, having really long hair gets annoying, especially at work. And when the annoyance level hits its peak, that's when I find myself again in Lito Manandic's chair.
I know, I know. There isn't really much difference. I only had a trim. But still, I like to post shit for posterity. One day I'm going to look back with nostalgia for the days when I could take Raven with me to my appointments.
Soon, she'd be doing her own thing with her own friends and I'm acutely aware of that. I want to milk these moments for all they're worth.
