It's the time of the year again to nominate your iVolunteer Champion!
All of our volunteers have the heart and the spirit to leave an impact in the communities that they serve and in the lives that they touch. But out of these volunteers we are thrilled to recognize volunteers who have shown exemplary behaviors and impact as part of their volunteer service. We call them our iVolunteer Champions. They go the extra mile to help the Filipino community and their efforts are marked with the utmost dedication and integrity.
Every year we honor these heroes who create remarkable change in the community and take volunteerism to greater heights. We have been blessed with 19 volunteer champions for the past 4 years and this year we are looking for the next role models who we can all emulate in the volunteer sector. MECHANICS
Who can be nominated?
Any Filipino citizen, of any age, who made extraordinary contributions to the advocacies they support, can be nominated as an iVolunteer Champion. Nominees must be willing to be interviewed for screening.
Who can nominate an iVolunteer Champion?
Any individual or organization may nominate an iVolunteer champion through this nomination form.
When is the last day of nominations for iVolunteer Champion?
Nomination can be made until 11:59 pm of September 30, 2024.
Nomination forms should be filled out and submitted within the nomination period.
What is the criteria for the iVolunteer Champion recognition?
One (1) iVolunteer Champion will be recognized for each of the following iVolunteer Core Values:
- Integrity – Volunteer selflessly devotes their time to improve the community; is morally upright and shows consistent and uncompromising adherence to their principles and values.
- Professionalism – Volunteer goes beyond what is expected of their given role and exceptionally delivers duties and commitments while showing respect for their advocacy, peers and the work that they do for the organization, group or community they serve.
- Inclusivity – Volunteer treats everyone with respect and creates an avenue to provide equal access to opportunities and resources for people who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized.
- Nationalism – Volunteer champions the interests of the Filipino people and makes a positive impact to the country through their service to the community or the campaigns they support.
- Change Leadership – Volunteer takes the initiative to help others around them, identifies opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations for the overall growth and development of the organization or group they serve.
How is an iVolunteer Champion selected?
A screening committee will assess all nominations based on submitted nomination forms, volunteer's track record, and an interview, all of which are assessed based on the iVolunteer Philippines' core values criteria.
When is the recognition ceremony?
The 2024 iVolunteer Champions will be recognized on December 7, 2024 during the iVolunteer's DestiNasyon event and will receive a certificate and a plaque from iVolunteer Philippines.
Recognized iVolunteer Champions will be welcomed to the network of previous awardees and other volunteer leaders in the iVolunteer Philippines' community. Members of the community will have access to dedicated capacity building sessions and other trainings, events, and resources. Opportunities also include speaking engagements, volunteer opportunities, access to fundraising platform, networking, mentorship, features, and more.
