XX NGOs have been actively engaging volunteers with a total of 181 volunteering opportunities.

iVolunteer Philippines has also kicked-off its volunteer education programs this quarter. Start Your Adventure was held on April 20 virtually for those who are interested to start their volunteering journey with 70 interested people to volunteer.

Uswag Pakigdait ("Movement for Goodwill") was launched on June 29 virtually to support the journey of Volunteer Leaders. 31 incredible leaders joined from all corners of the Philippines. This will be an on-going conversation with leaders to provide them also a community where they can exchange learnings and experiences.

DXC and AXA continue to invite more employees to volunteer partnering with iVolunteer to deliver these employee engagement activities. A total of 220 employees participated in 3 events including volunteer orientation and doing tree planting activities.

For our NGO partners, Bayani Learning Series is back to build capability of their leaders to be effective in delivering their services while engaging more volunteers. A Legal Health Check for Non-Profits was held on May 18 with Emmanuele Marie Parra (Programme Officer, TrustLaw Asia) and Atty. Reynaldo T. Dizon (Head of Labor and Employment Practice Group, Martinez Vergara & Gonzalez Sociedad). 20 individuals from 13 of NGOs attended and learned about making their institutions more sustainable.

The second of the series focused on Driving Change Through Social Media. 38 attendees learned how  social media can be used as a force for good and inspire others to volunteer as well. Thank you to Christine Paguirigan-Saldivar for sharing her expertise on digital marketing blending it with her experience in the development sector.

iVolunteer Philippines was present also in important forums to help educate different audiences about volunteerism - namely the General Assembly of Youth Service Philippines (April 27, Virtual), SDG Action Summit (May 6, Muntinlupa City) and Tayo-Tayo Advocacy workshops (May 26th, Tagum City).

On partnerships with NGOs, iVolunteer Philippines had its NGO Partner's Meet-up on April 19 to meet with 28 development sector members from 17 NGOs and encourage them to join our cause in encouraging more Filipinos to volunteer.

iVolunteer Philippine also continues to visit our NGOs partners and join them in their volunteer activity as our way of empathizing with volunteers who sign-up through our website, get to know the programs of our partners better and improve the overall volunteer experience. Visits were done with Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid - 2KK (April 6, Manila City), Tambayan Center for Children's Rights (April 20, Davao City), Project PEARLS (April 25, Manila City), Field of Dreams (May 5 & 11, Davao City), La Liga Mariquina (May 25, Marikina City), and Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid - 2KK (June 8, Quezon City)

An online National Volunteer Study has also been launched and data collection was concluded on June 30th. Expect a summary of our learnings about the Volunteer Sector and Transformation in the upcoming months.

iVolunteer Philippines is humbled by the appreciation we received from two of our long-time partners - Karinderia ni Mang-Urot and Silid Aralan.

Watchout for more exciting plans iVolunteer Philippines have for the second half of 2024.
