I love to walk around the población, especially the areas where the shades are plentiful. Simply said, I am a biophilic. I'd like to make some comparisons with the Japanese way of treating nature as an extension of a productive workspace. Wa, as an old name of Japan, connotes "peace, harmony" thereby sending signals of "harmonious" experiences (which is normal in oriental design thinking, by the way). I aptly chose Japan since Davao was once known as "Davaokuo," and building on the positive impacts of Japanese (even Western) backgrounds, maybe useful in looking at contemporary población area with fresh perspectives.
