The announcement was made during the party's national convention at Malacañang, led by Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez, Lakas-CMD's president. In his speech, Revilla expressed gratitude for the party's support, saying he was honored by the trust placed in him as their senatorial candidate for the upcoming midterm elections. Speaker Romualdez also revealed that Lakas-CMD would be part of the "Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas," a multi-party administration alliance set to field a full 12-man senatorial slate and numerous candidates for various local positions in the 2025 elections. | | | |
