This week, I chose prompt #1 from the list of prompts suggested. ********** When Facebook first started gaining popularity and everyone was setting up their accounts, I remember sending numerous friend requests and received many as well. At the start, it was exciting to see how many people wanted to be my Facebook friend, and most of the time I'd immediately approve the requests, without much thought. However, as more requests came in, I started to get more discerning and realised that some friend requests that I received were from people I hadn't spoken in years and also from people I did not like. Why did they want to be Facebook friends with me? I wondered. I figured that perhaps they wanted to have a high number of "friends" whenever someone checked out their profile which in turn would mean they were "popular"? Oh, who knows. Anyway, I don't get many friend requests these days, which is a comfort. Although, once in a while, I'd get a random one from someone who has zero friends and sort of looks like a Nigerian prince. | | | | You can also reply to this email to leave a comment. | | | | |
