Quiboloy had been hiding inside the KOJC compound since August 24. He surrendered to the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) and was later transferred to the PNP Custodial Center in Camp Crame. Quiboloy is facing multiple charges, including violations of the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation, and Discrimination Act (RA 7610) and a non-bailable human trafficking charge under RA 9208. He is also indicted in the U.S. for sex trafficking, conspiracy, and bulk cash smuggling. Despite claims from his lawyer that Quiboloy voluntarily surrendered, law enforcement officials have emphasized the extensive search operation that led to his capture. The pastor's allies, including Vice President Sara Duterte and former president Rodrigo Duterte, have criticized the police actions.
