The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) reported that repair work could not begin immediately due to additional lightning strikes. According to LRTA Administrator Atty. Hernando Cabrera, the lightning hit at 9:44 p.m., damaging around 70 meters of the cable. The LRTA maintenance team worked overnight, completing repairs and testing by 3:30 a.m., allowing normal operations to resume by 5 a.m. on Monday, although some stations opened slightly later than usual. Passengers were relieved to find that train services were running as scheduled after the repairs. | | | |
