RM, the leader of BTS, marked his 30th birthday on Thursday, celebrating with his fellow soldiers during his mandatory military service. In an Instagram post, RM shared moments from his special day, including a group photo with his military comrades at a restaurant and a selfie at a café.
In his Instagram Stories, RM posed in his military uniform surrounded by posters and balloons spelling out his name. He also gave fans a glimpse of his current life, sharing a photo set that included snapshots of BTS stylist Kim Youngjin's child, his photobooth pictures with a "Happy RM Day" frame, and a nod to Megan Thee Stallion's single "Neva Play," which features him.
Along with his social media posts, RM wrote a heartfelt letter to BTS fans, thanking them for their support and noting that he is now halfway through his military service.
RM released his second solo album, Right Place, Wrong Person, in May, featuring tracks like "Come Back to Me," "LOST!," and "Groin." His solo documentary film, RM: Right People, Wrong Place, is set to premiere at the Busan International Film Festival later this year.
BTS is currently on hiatus as its members fulfill their military obligations, with plans to reunite in 2025. Jin, the group's eldest member, is the first to be discharged from service.
