UPLB is top performing school in the August 2024 Electrical Engineers Exam

UP Los Baños (UPLB) is the top performing school in the August 2024 Registered Electrical Engineers Licensure Examination, with all its 22 examinees passing the exam with flying colors. UP's Laguna-based constituent university achieved a 100% passing rate.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission, schools must have at least 20 exam takers and an 80% passing percentage to be considered among the top performing schools for the examination.

In addition to UPLB's top performance in the exams, several of its graduates also ranked in the top ten list of successful examinees.

Placing at third is Cedie Mar A. Magno, who passed the exam with a 92.25% rating, followed by John Dominic A. Agoncillo at fourth with a 92.15% rating and Ryan Russel L. Talosig at fifth with a 92.05% rating. At seventh is Ma. Juliana A. Torres with a 91.80% rating, while Chrizella Alexis K. Amiyan rounded up the top ten list at tenth with a 90.50% rating.

Aside from UPLB, UP Diliman also had all of its six examinees pass the licensure examination, resulting in a 100% passing rate.

A total of 3,058 test takers took the licensure examinations from the various universities, colleges and other higher education institutions all over the country. Only 1,655 examinees passed the exams, resulting in a national passing rate of 54.12%.
