Up to P500,000 was distributed by the Provincial Government through the Provincial Social Welfare Development (PSWD) to the beneficiaries of the "Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation" (AICS) program.

According to the Quezon Public Information Office, 98 residents of the city have benefited from the program, most of whom are in need of medical, burial and financial assistance amid the pandemic.

Led by KALIPI Quezon President Atty. Joanna Suarez who represented Governor Danilo E. Suarez at the distribution of financial assistance held at the Quezon Convention Center recently.

At the same time, financial assistance amounting to P5,000 each was distributed to the 540 beneficiaries of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) initiative of the Quezon 2nd District Rep. David Suarez and of DSWD CALABARZON.

Among those who received financial assistance whose livelihoods or small businesses were affected due to the pandemic were 340 residents of Lucena while 200 residents of Sariaya benefited from the assistance.

According to the Quezon PIO, the programs, services and projects provided by the provincial government to various sectors continue, despite the pandemic.
