The Ministry of Health of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM) will provide medical scholarships to Bangsamoro students who have completed a pre-medical course and wish to study medicine at several universities in Mindanao.

Last Monday, July 12 the MOH and the University of Southern Mindanao (USM) in Kabacan, North Cotabato signed a Memorandum of Agreement or MOA in which 30 qualified students can be given slots.

Apart from USM, MOH has 15 slots for Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) in Zamboanga City, and six for Brokenshire College, Inc. in Davao city.

According to MOH Minister Bashary Latiph, the scholarship covers 100 per cent of the scholars 'study expenses. This includes school tuition fees, miscellaneous fees, monthly allowance, book allowance, and other expenses.

The said scholarship program will open in August 2021.
