MANILA, Philippines -- The Inter-Agency Task Force the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has given a greenlight to holding of the grand coronation night of the Binibining (Bb.) Pilipinas 2021 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Malacañang confirmed on Friday.

In a press statement, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said pageant organizers, candidates, and guests must observe strict minimum public health standards during this year's Bb. Pilipinas grand coronation night.

"Approved is the holding of the Binibining Pilipinas 2021 Coronation Night at the Smart Araneta Coliseum strictly following the submitted health and safety protocols," said Roque, who also serves as IATF-EID spokesperson.

Roque said attendees are also required to undergo to undergo a reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test 48 hours before the event to ensure their safety amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

The Bb. Pilipinas 2021 grand coronation night will be held at 9:30 p.m. on July 11.

Around 34 contestants from all over the country are vying for the four Bb. Pilipinas crowns.

Four hopeful queens will be crowned Bb. Pilipinas International, Bb. Pilipinas Grand International, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental and Bb. Pilipinas Globe.

The pandemic forced the beauty organizers to invite select guests for July 11's grand coronation night.

Viewers can stream live on A2Z Channel, Kapamilya Channel, and Metro Channel.

The event will also be broadcast live on iWantTFC and the Bb. Pilipinas YouTube website
