A call center agent was killed on Friday after an inclement weather knocked down a tree onto the taxicab in which she was riding together with two other passengers in city of Baguio.
Ms. Esmerelda Suriaga, 39, was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physicians of Baguio General Hospital.
Police report said that the victim together with Samuel Suriaga, 29, seated at the front seat passenger's side is now in stable condition while Wilfredo Suriaga, 63 at the second row behind the driver was discharged.
The taxi cab driver Mizon Arucan Galano, 33, a resident of Upper Quezon Hill was unharmed.
Crash investigators added that the passengers on board a taxicab with trade name AR-ANNE with plate number AYU -713 while travelling along Camp 8 at around 3:15 pm heading towards the City Proper were hit by the fallen tree.
Baguio city and surrounding areas were battered by heavy monsoon rains since Tuesday triggering landslides along the main roads in Mt. Province and Benguet.
