Collin Morikawa, 24, of Las Vegas, Nevada, United States has earned his second major championship win. The Japanese-Chinese-American professional golfer won the 149th edition of The Open Championship, the oldest golf tournament in the world.
The 2021 Open Championship was held at Royal St George's Golf Club in Sandwich, Dover, Kent, England, United Kingdom from July 15-18, 2021. During the final round, Morikawa became the first player since 2003 to win in his Open Championship debut.
Runner-up to Morikawa was Jordan Spieth, 27, of Dallas, Texas. Louis Oosthuizen, 38, of Mossel Bay, South Africa and Jon Rahm, 26, of Barrika, Basque County, Spain tied for third place.
