About 480 residents of barangay Tatal in Masinloc, Zambales benefited from the Expanded Caravan and Medical Mission of the Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict.

According to Mayor Arsenia Lim, its goal is to provide medical assistance to the people in the remote mountains of Coto and Mandaloy.

The Philippine Army, Philippine National Police and the provincial government assisted the people's government in this activity.

Services provided to residents include free medical check-ups, free medicine, free meals and free haircuts.

Lim, on the other hand, warned residents not to support and deceive themselves into joining the rebels.

The mayor also said that the soldiers were doing a huge thing and he saw no reason to support and deceive the communist groups because government programs were being relegated to them.

Members and supporters of the rebels are urged to surrender and return to the government.
