Top 10 Priority Target on Illegal Drugs in Zamboanga Peninsula, Arrested in South Cotabato

PNP personnel of Alicia Municipal Police Station (MPS) (lead unit) together with personnel of Koronadal City Police Station and 1st Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted joint intel driven operation at Purok Baldostamon, Block 5, Barangay Zone 4, Koronadal City, South Cotabato at 8:10 PM of July 16, 2021. The operation resulted in the of arrest of Alfonso Pejana Andres, 31 years old, married, construction worker, temporarily residing at Purok Baldostamon, Block 5, Barangay Zone 4, Koronadal City, South Cotabato. The arrest was made by virtue of warrant of arrest for violation of sec. 11 of R.A. 9165 docketed under criminal case no. IM-18-1613 dated September 10, 2020, issued by Hon. Jeric S. Kagaon, Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 31, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay with recommended bail of ₱ 230, 000.00. He is now under the custody of Alicia MPS for proper disposition.

Stabbing Incident

A stabbing incident transpired at Barangay Tulungatong, Zamboanga City at 5:35 PM of July 16, 2021 wherein suspect was identified as Randy Luna y Castillo, 29 years old, male, single while victim was identified as Eduardo Paragas y Climaco Jr, legal age, male, married both are residents of Barangay Ayala, Zamboanga City. Investigation disclosed that at 4:30 PM of July 16, 2021, the suspect and the victim had a heated argument that turned into a fist fight. Thereafter, the suspect managed to draw a knife and stabbed the victim several times. The victim sustained stabbed wounds on the different parts of his body and was immediately brought to Labuan General Hospital for medical attention but was declared dead at 5:20 PM of July 16, 2021 by attending physician Dra. Ma. Charmelle Oller. The suspect was arrested after a follow-up operation conducted by police personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 9.

Fire Incident

A fire incident transpired at MCLL highway, Barangay Bolong, Zamboanga City at 10:35 AM of July 16, 2021 involving a gray ten wheeler dump truck owned by ALRAF Construction, driven by Vicente Herrera y Fabian, 51 years old, male, married and a resident of Barangay Bolong, Zamboanga City. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the truck was about to dump a gravel but it accidentally got stuck in an electric wire that caused it to be set on fire. As a result, the truck was totally burned due to the high voltage. Further, the driver sustained minor injuries and was brought to Zamboanga City Sanitarium Hospital for treatment. Fire out was declared by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) at 10:45 AM of July 16, 2021 with an estimated damage amounting to ₱ 500, 000.00.

Men Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Arena Blanco

PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Sibigtul, Barangay Arena Blanco, Zamboanga City at 1:10 PM of July 16, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Radzwin Asman y Salani 25 years old, male, separated, jobless, elementary level, a resident of Masepla, Barangay Mampang, Zamboanga City and Kerni Arsiti y Saliddani 56 years old, male, married, jobless, elementary level, and a resident of Sibigtul, Barangay Arena Blanco, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were twelve (12) sachets of suspected Shabu with a standard drug price of ₱ 27, 200.00 pesos weighing 4 grams and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 marked money. They are now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered sachets of suspected Shabu will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Lunzuran

PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 5 conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Purok 1, Tumaga-Lunzuran Rd., Barangay Lunzuran, Zamboanga City at 8:15 PM of July 16, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Alvin Mitra y Lauriaga a.k.a. "Alvin",  38 years old, male, single, jobless,  high school graduate, and a resident of Barangay Lunzuran, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were four (4) sachets of suspected Shabu with a standard drug price of ₱ 6, 800.00 pesos weighing 1 gram and three (3) bills of ₱ 100.00 marked money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered sachets of suspected shabu will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Cabatangan

PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Drug Enforcement Unit together with Zamboanga City Police Station 11 conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Barangay Cabatangan, Zamboanga City at about 9:00 PM of July 16, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Albert Toh y Dingal a.k.a. "Tata", 35 years old, male, single, painter, elementary level, and a resident of Popcom, Barangay Cabatangan, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were four (4) sachets of suspected Shabu with a standard drug price of ₱ 20, 400.00 pesos weighing 3 grams, one (1) purse and three (3) bills of ₱ 100.00 marked money. He is now under the custody of the said police station in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered sachets of suspected Shabu will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.

Man Arrested in Drug Buy-Bust Operation in Mampang

PNP personnel of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 together with Sulu Provincial Intelligence Team and RIU9 PNP-IG conducted anti-illegal drugs operation at Paraiso Dr., Barangay Mampang, Zamboanga City at 12:35 AM of July 17, 2021. The operation resulted in the arrest of Herldon Wooton y Peñalosa, 36 years old, male, single, jobless, elementary level, and a resident of Paraiso Dr., Barangay Mampang, Zamboanga City. Recovered during the operation were six (6) sachets of suspected Shabu with a standard drug price of ₱ 5, 450.00 pesos 0.80 grams and two (2) bills of ₱ 100.00 as marked money. He is now under the custody of Zamboanga City Police Station 6 in preparation of filing of appropriate charges in court. All recovered sachets of suspected Shabu will be brought to Zamboanga City Crime Laboratory Office for examination.
