Baguio City – One died while six others survived in a vehicular accident involving a truck at noon Sunday in Natonin, Mt. Province, police said.

Police investigation showed that the truck driver, Nole B. Subia, lost control of the vehicle while traversing Mt. Province Road around 12:30 noon in Sitio Likey and fell into an almost 70-meter ravine.

Responders from local Police and firefighters rushed the victims to Anastacia Rafael Sagel Memorial Hospital, Poblacion, Natonin for initial medical treatment.

Natonin Municipal Station said Cornelio G. Conjurado Jr. a.k.a "Junjun" died while being treated at a hospital due multiple traumatic organ injury.

Mr. Jimmy Luis, was referred to Grace Hospital at Cauayan, Isabela for further medical attention, while the driver and Ferdinand Pangilinan Evangelista who suffered minor injuries were released after treatment.

Unharmed passengers of the truck were identified as Novelyn Luiz Trillio, 28, single, merchandiser; Norman Subia, 26, single, scrap collector and Ronie Luis, 30, married, scrap collector.

Based on the investigation by Natonin police, the truck with plate number UST 199 driven by Subia were heading towards Paracelis after they hauled the scrap that they collected in Natonin.

Police said Mrs. Angelica Conjurado, legal wife of the deceased is no longer interested to file charges against the driver.
