A total of 24 micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from Cotabato city and Maguindanao province recently underwent three days of entrepreneurial skills training here in the city.

It was conducted by the Ministry of Trade, Investments and Industry of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MTIT-BARMM) as part of this year's MSME week-long celebration with the theme "Bangsamoro MSMEs: Go! Grow! Glow! For Resiliency, Development and Sustainability. "

The trainings conducted by the ministry are Entrepreneurial Skills, Financial Literacy, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Product Development including Branding, Packaging and Labeling, and Digital Literacy Skills Training.

Meanwhile, MTIT Minister Abuamri Taddik urged the participants to be more active in the business sector, especially since the pandemic has further affected the region's economy.

As a conclusion to the said training the MSMEs presented and consulted their products with Product Development speaker Christopher Gomez from Chromez Industrial Services.

Gomez also provided tips and advice to every business owner for proper branding, labeling, and packaging of products.
