The first Dairy Box recently open in the province of Tarlac, in the municipality of Victoria which will serve as the market center for the dairy farmers.
According to Mayor Christian Yap, the project is designed to empower the small hold dairy farmers, and help them in selling their products.
Mayor Yap added that Dairy Box also aims to be a featured destination for travelers, that will also boost the tourism of their municipality and the province.
The store will serve as a one-stop-shop for the products of the Philippine Carabao Center or PCC, Mabulod Green Farm Producers Cooperative, Amia Cruz Agriculture Cooperative and Palayamanan Agriculture Cooperative.
Here you can buy a variety of buffalo milk products such as pastillas, polvoron, yogurt, chocomilk, pasteurized milk, lactojuice and soft ice cream.
The store was built under the Carabao-based Improvement Network project and in collaboration with the PCC, Central Luzon State University and the local government.
