More than 100 personnel of the Religious of the Virgin Mary convent in Quezon City have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit confirmed Wednesday.
According to Glen Juego's report on Super Radyo dzBB, CESU said that of the 114 positive individuals, 61 are nuns while others are caregivers and drivers.
Eighty-six of the patients are experiencing mild symptoms, 22 are asymptomatic, four are moderate cases, while two are in severe condition.
The convent located in Barangay Kaunlaran has been placed under lockdown.
Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte has yet to issue a statement.
According to the local government, there are 12,491 active cases in the city. A total of 134,936 have recovered and 1,379 have died.
