Even then, there is no true opposition in any of all the elections in the country. But elections under the edacious and desperate Duterte camp have been openly stripped of all traces of logic and reason, and have become the worst mockery in history. The people have predicted the tyrant and his stooges' outright defacement of the law – from cheap politicians with cringe-worthy acting skills, nonstop reshuffling of candidates, use of military and police force to rig the results to Duterte's arrant filing of his own candidacy.

Whoever wins the farcical elections, no one can be relied to uphold the people's welfare. Most of the candidates vying for the presidency and vice presidency are devoted bootlickers of Duterte's tyranny. The few who pose as opposition do not stand for the masses' democratic demands such as the clamor to end contractualization and build the foundations for national industrialization and genuine land reform. Who among them have repudiated the neoliberal and anti-poor policies that have long been starving and killing the masses? Who among them dared to disavow state terrorism and actively join the campaign of Bikolanos and the people to end the bloody war against the masses? Who among them took any concrete step to oppose Duterte's servility to China, US and other foreign countries?

As the reactionary politics becomes more macabre, it also becomes clearer for the people that the revolution is the only genuine opposition there really is. The sole organization that has the capacity to lead the Filipino people towards indubitable and substantial change is the CPP-NPA-NDF. No one can deny that from the very beginning, no matter the attack, disparagement and obstacles, only the revolutionary movement from and for the masses staunchly carried the voice and interests of the common majority. In every step of the way for the fight for land, security of tenure and housing, rights and societal justice, the people's true Party have always been on their side.

NDF-Bikol enjoins the poeple to join revolutionary mass organizations and advance the people's democratic revolution. The crisis beleaguering the current system cannot be expected to abate on its own. As it becomes impossible for the ruling classes to dominate in the old way, the already abysmal political climate, the dissolution of bourgeois-democratic veil and the people's conditions will certainly worsen even more. The only way for the Filipino people to have its true leader is to claim their own strength and lead their own ranks towards the absolute victory of the people's just war.
