Apoy sa Langit's Final Week (GMA Drama)
First aired on May 2, 2022, Apoy Sa Langit stars Maricel Laxa, Zoren Legaspi, Mikee Quintos and Lianne Valentin. The series marks Lianne's first leading role.
The series initially scored an average of 5-6%. By late June, it increased to an average of 7-9% and continues to maintain this pace throughout the rest of its run. It is the most watched series on GMA's YouTube and Facebook livestreaming platforms. It will have a total of 105 episodes once it concludes this Saturday.
Setting aside its formulaic story, Apoy Sa Langit had a plot twist when the attitudes of Cesar (Zoren) and Stella (Lianne) changed gears. Stella became the abused from being a seductive mistress, while Cesar became the abusive from being the loving husband.
Lianne gave a good account of herself for portraying Stella. She'll be eyed for more leading roles, whether a protagonist or antagonist, in the near future. Zoren, who has portrayed a number of villainous roles in the past, is no slouch when it comes to portraying the abusive persona of Cesar. Not to mention Mariz's comeback is worth the price of admission.
Come Saturday, viewers will know the furious fate of Cesar and Stella in this story of adultery. It remains to be seen if Stella should be blamed for Cesar's change of personality.
