While some are blessed enough to find true love, searching for "the one" could take decades and even a lifetime for some—or in the case of a 65-year-old man from Saudi Arabia, getting married 53 times.
Abu Abdullah was only 20 years old when he and his first wife tied the knot. According to reports, she was six years his senior and she was all he needed at that point in his life.
Until problems put their relationship to the test and it did not go really well. At 23, he opened up to his wife; telling her that he's planning to take a second wife and embrace polygamy.
"When I married for the first time, I did not plan to marry more than one woman because I was feeling comfortable and had children," he said, as quoted by Gulf News. "But after a while, problems happened and I decided to marry again when I was 23 years old and I informed my wife of my decision."
The two marriage, however, did not stop the problems, so he took on a third wife and then a fourth as he continues his quest for "emotional stability". Eventually, he decided to divorce with his four wives, as things got worse over time, especially when they also began arguing.
Yet, he continues marrying women in hopes to find the right one; someone who could truly make him happy for the rest of his life.
"I married 53 women over long periods," he disclosed; noting that the shortest one lasted only for one night and she even married a number of women during overseas business trips.
He, however, insisted that none of them was a joke and all were traditional weddings.
"Every man in the world wishes to have one woman and remain with her for ever," he pointed out.
