Isang hindi matatawarang pagganap ang ibinigay ng aktres na si Coleen Garcia sa unang supernatural thriller film niya na 'Kaluskos', kaya naman wala ring pagsidlan ang kanyang tuwa nang magwagi siya bilang Best Actress sa international film na ginanap sa Venezuela kamakailan.
Sa isang Instagram post, ibinahagi ni Coleen na gumising siya sa magandang balita na nanalo ng international award sa El Grito International Fantastic Film Festival ang naging pagganap niya.
"Yesterday, I woke up to the exciting news that I won Best Actress at the El Grito International Fantastic Film Festival in Venezuela! Thank you so much to the jury for selecting me. I am so honored!" saad niya sa caption ng litrato ng scenes na sa kanyang ini-upload.
Laking pasasalamat din niya sa Viva Films, sa direktor na nagtiwala sa kanya habang ginagawa ang nasabing pelikula, at sa Panginoon.
"Thank yooouuu, Direk @manru and @viva_films, for the trust, and for giving me the opportunity to play Rebekah," aniya.
"Thank you, Lord, for carrying me through all of it. I learned a lot from this project, and working on it really reminded me why I love what I do!" wika pa ng aktres.
Nauna nang ibinahagi ni Coleen sa ABS-CBN News kung paano naging exciting at challenging ang kanyang karakter sa Kaluskos, lalo pa at kasama niya ang anak sa tuwing nagsu-shoot.
"Mahirap for every production na bitbit ko ang anak ko every time I'd shoot," sabi niya. "It's hard to consider that. But the baby is still non-negotiable. I never spent one single night away from Amari. I never spent a lot of time away from him. That's why I'm really thankful to Viva Films and Direk Roman, because they were all so understanding about that. I don't think going back to acting in front of the camera will really be easy if you're a mom. Especially if you're doing a teleserye. I am always with Amari."
