Parañaque slum fire hurt 5

FIRE authorities are looking into fire incident in Parañaque City . At least five persons were injured when fire broke out in community of informal settler families in Parañaque City.
Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)'s National Capital Region field office said among those injured were Alfie Legaspi, 37; Elmer Almodin, 58; Jenny la Torre, 18; Ricardo Docinbac, 4, and 16-year-old boy.
They were treated by first aid responders for smoke inhalation, difficulty breathing and lacerations.
Arson investigators said blaze at Lorenzana Compound in Barangay San Dionisio broke out at around 3:10 in the afternoon and reached fourth alarm.
Affected area is near Parañaque City College, BFP said.
Probers said fire originated at two-story house owned by Mylene Antipuesto.
Firefighters controlled flames at around 5:32 in the afternoon and put out fire by 5:55 in the afternoon.
Barangay hall could not be reached for updates on number of families that were evacuated from compound and houses destroyed during fire.
