P200k bounty for Quezon village chief slay suspect

POLICE authorities are looking into murder of barangay captain in Guis-guis San Roque , Sariaya,Quezon..
Benedicto Robo, 62, chairman of Barangay Guis-guis San Roque, had just watched local basketball tournament and was eating at food stall when alleged gunman identified as Marvin Flores approached and shot him at close range, S/Sgt. Ruel Tiña, officer-on-case, said.
Robo died while being treated at Lucena United Doctors Hospital and Medical Center after midnight.
Flores managed to escape.
Prior to shooting, Robo reportedly confronted Flores, said to be drunk, over his rude behavior during opening of tournament.
Provincial government of Quezon and municipal government of Sariaya offered reward of P200,000 for information leading to arrest of suspect.
Quezon Gov. Helen Tan and Sariaya Mayor Marcelo Gayeta offered bounty when they visited wake of Robo.
