"It's high time that we enforce, implement, and use clean energy to mitigate effects of climate change…we have to start now to veer away from conventional but hazardous method of generating power, for benefit of our future generation," Romualdez said.
Pencas bill, received 215 votes, will establish system for collection, compilation and development of natural capital accounts in government as tool for development planning and programming, policy analysis and decision-making.
HB 8269 aims to protect internally displaced persons who are forced to leave their homes due to armed conflict, violence, clan wars, violations of human rights implementation of development projects, natural, human-induced and human-made hazards.
"Proposed legislation seeks to guarantee promotion and protection of rights of victims of and non-combatants in armed conflict in accordance with international humanitarian law, international customary law, international human rights laws, and domestic laws," Romualdez said.
HB 8265 provides at least 15 cooperative organizations duly-established and registered under Cooperative Code may register CB with Cooperative Development Authority, in compliance with requirements of and required authorization from Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
