A magnitude 5.9 tremor jolted parts of Agusan del Norte this Saturday morning at around noon.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) estimated the time at 11:22 a.m. when a quake which was tectonic in origin hit some 5 kilometers southwest of Las Nieves in the abovementioned province.
The quake had a depth of 30 kilometers with the following reported intensities:

Intensity IV - Libona and San Fernando, BUKIDNON; CITY OF ILIGAN; City of Gingoog, Jasaan, Magsaysay, and Medina, MISAMIS ORIENTAL; City of Bayugan, Prosperidad, and Talacogon, AGUSAN DEL SUR
Intensity III - Jagna, BOHOL; Baungon, Cabanglasan, Impasug-ong, Kitaotao, City of Malaybalay, Malitbog, Manolo Fortich, Maramag, Quezon, Talakag, and City of Valencia, BUKIDNON; City of El Salvador, MISAMIS ORIENTAL; Mawab and Nabunturan, DAVAO DE ORO; City of Digos, DAVAO DEL SUR; CITY OF DAVAO; Hinatuan, SURIGAO DEL SUR
Intensity II - Inabanga, and Loboc, BOHOL; Don Carlos and Kalilangan, BUKIDNON; Catarman, Guinsiliban, Mahinog, Mambajao, and Sagay, CAMIGUIN; Matanao, DAVAO DEL SUR; Banisilan, City of Kidapawan, Makilala, and Tulunan, COTABATO

Damage and aftershocks were expected according to Phivolcs.
