Mama, you wore many hats in your life journey.
You were the achiever eldest daughter in a family of Ilonggo settlers in Cotabato, carrying the high expectations of Lola and Lolo. You were their rebellious daughter who turned to student activism in Notre Dame University. This got you "exiled" to Cebu only for you to continue in your militant vocation with KADENA and the tercerista line.
You gave birth to me in 1987, followed in the coming years by the birth of my siblings, becoming a mother and a family woman. You worked in various NGOs and eventually took on various entrepreneurial endeavors from selling newspapers to flowers to augment the family income.
In more recent memory, you successfully built the family business, PRWorks, to become one of the leading crisis management and public relations firms in the Visayas and Mindanao. Along the way, you continued to hone your talent in the arts and the crafts.
But above all else for me, you will always be my one and only supportive and loving Mama.
Malipayong Adlawng Natawhan! Happy 60th!
