UP President holds dialogue with the university's public affairs offices

In a Public Affairs Forum held on May 20, UP President Angelo Jimenez shared his UP Strategic Plan 2023-29 with the heads and staff of the public affairs units of the university, including the alumni relations, public service/extension, and information offices of the UP System and UP constituent universities (CUs).

The forum, with over 100 attendees, was organized by the Office of the Vice President for Public Affairs (OVPPA) under VP Rolando Tolentino. It served as a venue to strengthen synergy and capacities for information dissemination and implementation of the strategic plan, as President Jimenez discussed the ten flagship programs under the banner of "Public Service through Transformative UP Education."

President Jimenez reiterated his administration's commitment to service as a core value of UP alongside honor and excellence.

Karen Connie Abalos-Orendain, UP System Office of Alumni Relations Director; Cherish Aileen Brillon, UP Padayon Public Service Office Director; Alfredo Mahar Lagmay, UP Resilience Institute Executive Director; Grace Alfonso, TVUP Executive Director; Abdulmari Imao, Jr., Interim Chair of the UP President's Committee on Culture and the Arts; Ervina Espina, UP Tacloban Ugnayan ng Pahinungod Director; and Rene Estremera, UP Mindanao Public Relations Officer also delivered messages in support of the strategic plan and programs. UP Media and Public Relations Office Director Larissa Mae Suarez served as moderator.
