Celebrating Academic and Athletic Excellence
Juliana Gomez, daughter of celebrity couple Richard Gomez and Lucy Torres, has graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a degree in public administration.
A Heartfelt Gratitude
On Instagram, Juliana expressed her deep gratitude to UP for the opportunity to be an "Iskolar-Atleta ng Bayan" (Scholar-Athlete of the Nation). "Maraming salamat sa pagkakataon na ito, UP! Mahal na mahal kita," she captioned her post, proudly donning a traditional Terno with her UP Sablay and medal.
Proud Parents
Richard Gomez, her father, shared his pride and emotions on social media, recounting the moment he and his wife, Lucy, felt as they witnessed their daughter's achievement. "Mom was in tears going up the stage. My eyes were in tears too when I went back to my seat as things sank into my head and realized how time flies so fast," he said. He encouraged Juliana to "go on and make things better and beautiful."
Athletic Achievements
In addition to her academic success, Juliana is a successful fencing athlete. She won a gold medal at the UAAP in March and has also triumphed in fencing competitions in Thailand and Indonesia.
