The event took place at the Paris La Defense Arena on Tuesday. Record-Breaking Performance The 23-year-old swimmer clocked an impressive 53.67 seconds, finishing fourth in Heat 4 and securing her spot in the 16-player semifinals cut. Overall, Sanchez placed 10th out of all competitors, putting her on track for a potential third podium finish in the Summer Games. This performance allowed her to break her previous national record of 54.25 seconds, which she set last June at the Mel Zajac Jr. International Meet in Canada. Top Competitors - Sarah Sjoestroem (Sweden): World record holder, topped the field with a time of 52.99 seconds.
